Ophthalmology

One of the most precious and delicate components of our pets’ health is their vision.  Trauma to or degeneration of the eyes can usher in sweeping lifestyle changes that both the patient and their owner will have to adapt to.  It is our goal to ensure your pet’s comfort and quality of life, and quality of vision plays a tremendous role.  Our board certified ophthalmologist is trained to both diagnose and perform any corrective measures, repair, or treatment of any trauma or degeneration of the eye that our pets may encounter.

Our Ophthalmology department offers a full suite of services to aid in the prevention of ocular degeneration, and in maintaining the overall comfort of our pets.  These services include:

Schirmer tear test measurement

Fluorescein staining

Tonometry (intraocular pressure measurement)

Ocular ultrasonography
