Unfortunately, as with people, our family pets are often diagnosed with cancer. CARE’s oncology department understands that this disease is not only physically demanding on your pet, but also very emotionally demanding for you and your family. Our board-certified Oncologist is dedicated to providing individualized cancer care by educating you on the disease process itself, the treatment options available along with their potential side effects, and also discussing palliative measures to help you make the most informed decision possible for you and your pet.

Oncology treatment often involves a collaborative effort and integration of surgery, medical and radiation oncology, nutrition, physical rehabilitation, and other alternative therapies to help improve the quality of life of your pet. Although not all cancers are curable, our ultimate goal of treatment is to give your pet a higher quality of life, while hopefully expanding on the time and memories you can spend and make together. Our compassionate team of doctors and staff understand that saying goodbye is an extremely difficult and personal decision for your family, and we have resources to help you with making any and all hospice and end of life decisions.
